SCHOLARSHIPS
Excellence In Education - Young Adult Scholarship
In support of our mission to educate the public and promote soft pastels as a medium, the Pastel Society of Maine offers a scholarship to a graduating high school student aspiring to be an artist. Awarded annually to a Maine student interested in furthering their study of art after high school.
Eligibility: Any high school student (preferably a graduating senior) planning to continue in the academic study of art after graduating high school is eligible.
Judging: While PSME is a pastel society, we encourage all types of art in any medium and subject. Students will be selected based on 5 criteria: academic standing, sample portfolio of recent artwork, extracurricular activities, teacher or guidance counselor recommendation, and a written artistic statement.
